Goma-ae Spring Greens (Sesame Spring Greens)

So simple, but so moreish. These Goma-ae Spring Greens are a great way to get these budget friendly and nutritious veggies into your life.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 spring greens (approximately)
  • 3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Japanese soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Instructions
 

  • Prepare approximately 250g of spring greens by washing and slicing them into medium sized strips. 
  • Blanch the greens for a 3-5 minutes in boiling hot water. The longer you boil them the less flavour they will have.
  • In a large bowl mix together the ground toasted sesame seeds, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar.
  • Thoroughly drain the greens and add them to the bowl with the sauce. Toss everything together until the greens are fully coated.
  • Serve immediately or store in the fridge for 3-4 days.
